Zoom announces new strategic agreement with AWS. But that’s not the only novelty: the new partnership includes a collaboration aimed at developing new solutions for teleworking. <\/em><\/h4>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

On November 30, Zoom announced a new strategic partnership with Amazon Web Services. <\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

The multi-year agreement extends the long-standing relationship between the two companies, enabling Zoom to rapidly scale<\/strong> its service to the world’s leading cloud, address the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, and provide reliable services and continuous innovation for its expanding base of enterprise and consumer customers.<\/p>\n

Zoom will continue to leverage AWS’s global infrastructure<\/strong> and unmatched portfolio of services, including compute, storage, content delivery, and security capabilities, to create a secure and seamless extension of its data centers.<\/p>\n

In addition, AWS and Zoom are collaborating to develop new solutions for Zoom’s business users, leveraging the breadth and depth of AWS to integrate Zoom services with Amazon devices and capabilities to make it easier for organizations to run hybrid office and remote work models<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

Paying the price for this situation is Oracle<\/strong>, which had provided a lifebuoy to Zoom in April, when the demand for the service was such that it did not seem possible that AWS would provide enough servers to meet it.<\/p>\n
